Timely

Privacy Policy

Effective March 2026

Thank you for using Timely. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have regarding your data.

Timely is a reminders app designed to help you stay on top of the things that matter. We are committed to being transparent about our data practices and to collecting only what is necessary to provide you with a great experience.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Reminder Data

The reminders you create—including titles, due dates, recurrence settings, and any associated details—are stored locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework. If you have iCloud enabled, your reminder data may sync across your devices via Apple’s CloudKit service. This data is stored in your personal iCloud account and is not accessible to us.

1.2 Subscription Information

If you choose to subscribe to Timely’s premium features, your purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status and entitlements. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and purchase receipt data from Apple to verify your subscription. We do not collect or store your payment information, credit card details, or Apple Account.

1.3 Analytics Data

We use TelemetryDeck to collect anonymous, privacy-friendly usage analytics. TelemetryDeck is designed with privacy as a core principle and does not use cookies, does not track users across apps, and does not collect personally identifiable information. The analytics data we collect includes general usage patterns (such as which features are used and how often), app performance metrics and crash-related signals, device type and operating system version, and app version. This data is collected in aggregate and cannot be used to identify individual users.

1.4 Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal contact information. We do not collect location data. We do not collect health, financial, or biometric data. We do not access your contacts, photos, or other apps on your device.

2. How We Use Information

We use the limited information described above for the following purposes: to provide and maintain the Timely app and its features; to sync your reminders across your devices via iCloud (when enabled by you); to manage your subscription status and ensure access to premium features; and to understand general usage trends so we can improve the app experience.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your reminder data is stored locally on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your personal iCloud account managed by Apple. We do not operate our own servers to store your personal data. Subscription management data is processed by RevenueCat in accordance with their privacy policy. Analytics data is processed by TelemetryDeck in accordance with their privacy policy.

We take reasonable measures to ensure the third-party services we use maintain appropriate security standards, but no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.

4. Third-Party Services

Timely integrates with the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these services for more information about how they handle data.

5. Data Retention

Your reminder data remains on your device and in your iCloud account for as long as you choose to keep it. You can delete individual reminders at any time within the app, or delete all app data by uninstalling the app and removing it from your iCloud storage. Anonymized analytics data is retained by TelemetryDeck in accordance with their data retention policies.

6. Children’s Privacy

Timely does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Since we do not collect personal information from any users, the app is suitable for use by people of all ages. If you believe a child has somehow provided personal information through the app, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

7. Your Rights & Choices

You have control over your data in the following ways:

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or California, you may have additional rights under applicable data protection laws, including the right to access, correct, or delete your data. Since we do not collect personal information that identifies you, these rights are generally already satisfied by the app’s design. If you have questions about exercising your rights, please contact us.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the “Effective Date” at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, through an in-app notification. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
